What Next Travel started with a simple problem: most travel content online is either a wall of generic tips or a thinly disguised ad for a booking site. We wanted something in between, real, practical advice from someone actually planning trips, alongside free tools that answer the boring but important questions before you book anything.

We publish destination guides, travel news, and practical planning advice for families, couples, and solo travellers, mostly UK-based, mostly planning trips of a week or two rather than a gap year. Alongside the articles, we built a few free tools: a trip budget calculator that gives you a realistic budget before you book, and a destination finder that matches where you're thinking of going against the time of year and who's coming with you.

What Next Travel is run independently, currently as a one-person operation, alongside other projects. We're honest about what we don't know yet: the site is new, and we're adding content and improving the tools every week.

How the site makes money

Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products and services we'd genuinely suggest to a friend planning the same trip, not whichever pays the highest commission. Our full policy on this is on the Privacy Policy page.
